CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Łukasz is the leader and mentor of the development team. He combines strong programming skills, knowledge of the best available technologies, artificial intelligence and the ability to complete a triathlon in a weekend.

Łukasz ensures software security and a pleasant working atmosphere.

Computer Science and Econometrics Engineer with specialisation in web and mobile application programming.

Michał works in Swarmcheck as a front-end developer. He is proficient in implementation as well as in graphic interface design. He has a broad range of skills in digital visual forms. He also steps on the hardware side of power as an enthusiast of IoT, Computer Vision, CNC machine tools, CAD design, and robotics. Michał finds a counterbalance to the technical world in photography.

Computer Science Graduate with a Master's degree from the AGH University of Science and Technology with a psychological jam, planning to go to psychotherapy school. Michał has six years of experience as a Web Developer. At Swarmcheck he is a Full-stack Developer with a focus on the front-end. Addicted to the café buzz, he arrives every day by bike from the outskirts to the city of Cracow and sits down to work in Nowa Prowincja café or Eszeweria café. In the evenings, he likes to improvise vocally and dance at Cracow’s Kontakt space. At the dinner table, he is happiest talking over a glass of cocoa about psychology and meditation which are currently his greatest passions.

Received his PhD in theoretical physics at the Jagiellonian University. Prior to working with Swarmcheck, he worked as a scientist, participating in projects and carrying out his own grant. He collaborated with research centres both in Poland (Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń) and abroad (Donostia Physics Centre in Spain and University of Luxembourg). His interests include philosophy of mathematics, programming, machine learning, and he is passionate about puzzles and mathematical riddles. As a hobby, Michał plays the piano (mainly classical music) and chess. Initially, he contributed to the algorithmic team at Swarmcheck as a software developer. Currently, Michał is a consultant at Reason Drill where he advises on mathematical argumentation modeling.

COMPUTER SCIENCE SPECIALIST

Lawyer who obtained her Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Econometrics from the University of Economics and Computer Science in Kraków, ten years after obtaining her Master's Degree in Law from the University of Wrocław. She currently works as a front-end developer at Swarmcheck. Karolina has a positive attitude towards the world and people. She enjoys the city rhythm, but also finds relaxation in nature.

FRONT-END DEVELOPER

Studied Computer Science at SUNY Binghamton University in New York and has been working as a front-end developer for 3 years at Optimum Pareto Foundation. His interest in programming started at a young age when he began using computers. His fascination with programming and the constant innovation in the field motivates him to keep learning about the latest solutions and technologies in web application development. In his free time, he enjoys walking in the woods with his dog, traveling, and playing sports.

FULL-STACK DEVELOPER

Has an educational background in Economics and Management with a specialization in sales management, and completed postgraduate studies in Front-End Development with Angular. Łukasz gained professional experience by running his own delivery point and then working as a freelancer copywriter. For over 10 years, he has actively worked in the non-profit sector, collaborating with various organizations and implementing projects related to children's leisure time management and modern competencies, including digital skills. It was through one of these projects that he developed an interest in programming, starting with Python and then transitioning to JavaScript. He continues to expand his developer skills on a daily basis and specializes in the business logic of applications. In his free time, Łukasz enjoys traveling, hiking (especially in the mountains!), and is an active instructor in the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association.

Engineer in geodesy, cartography, and computer science, and a JavaScript programmer. He currently works as a Full Stack Developer at Swarmcheck, where he develops and creates new views of the application, refactors its code, and creates and reworks APIs. Wojciech is passionate about staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. In his spare time, he enjoys playing board and computer games.

Bachelor in Cognitive Science graduated from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He is completing his Master's degree there. In Swarmcheck he works with databases, algorithms for natural language processing and data analysis. His interests include artificial intelligence, programming and non-programming languages, game and decision theory, rationality, the evolution of life on Earth (and elsewhere), sci-fi literature and obscure historical facts. He co-organises meetings of Cracow’s LessWrong community and Effective Altruism. In his spare time, he helps with the creation of a chat-bot capable of educating people about AI safety. Mateusz enjoys heavy sounds with post-rock flavour, especially Agalloch.

Engineer in Economics and Computer Science, who graduated from the Cracow School of Economics and Computer Science. Developer working on in-house ScrumGenerator tool. Deaf "fighter" for the implementation of facilities and the levelling of thresholds for deaf people in the hearing environment. Spends free time on reading about art, reading reportages as well as ethnographic books and being a scout of the Academic Polish Scouting and Guiding Association.

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and has been programming for 4 years, with over a year of experience at Swarmcheck. He takes care of both the front-end and back-end development for the Swarmcheck App and is more recently involved with the FactChecker App.

In his free time, Paweł is developing his own app for learning languages and definitions. He is also preparing for an ultramarathon and attempting to create a second painting.

Philosopher and cognitive scientist, graduated from the Jagiellonian University. He abandoned the development of his own system of metaphysics in favor of studying the cerebral substrate of cognitive processes. His scientific interests focus on epistemology, cognitive science of language, and social cognition considered from an evolutionary perspective. Privately, he is passionate about ancient history, cultural anthropology, the evolution of myths, and religion. He is also an AFOL and a father to Laura, with whom he enjoys building with "bilthy brick"!

Graduate in Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University and in Economics at the Cracow University of Economics (CUE). PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of the CUE. Krzysztof has accumulated professional experience in the field of market research, project management and financial markets. His publications are centered around developing a broader philosophical perspective for economic sciences.

Philosopher and doctor of Religious Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Her scientific interests revolve around spirituality from a psychological and philosophical perspective, and the various aspects of communication. At Swarmcheck, she takes on the role of leading projects related to the development of public policies for local governments, training, and nurturing the broader work culture.

Aside from her work at Swarmcheck, she practices as an active TSR therapist and psychotherapist at the 4-year holistic systemic psychotherapy course at the Systemic Training Centre in Cracow. In her free time, she enjoys exploring psychobiology, gardening, and traveling with her daughters.

PhD Candidate in Philosophy and Literature Studies and a Master's student in Applied Computer Science at the Jagiellonian University. Agnieszka works as a University Teacher and is also an Argumentation Logic Specialist and a budding Scrum Master at Swarmcheck. Her academic interests lie in the metaphilosophy of formal methods, as well as the applications of logical and structural representation methods to philosophical problem-solving.

When she takes a break from her computer, Agnieszka enjoys playing Candy Crush Saga on her phone, currently at level 10881 and counting.

Graduate in Psychology at the University of Warsaw, participant of courses and workshops on product design. Aleksandra has conducted quantitative and qualitative research on the psychology of emotions and social psychology. At Swarmcheck, she is involved in social research and supports user experience activities in product processes. Privately, she is a sailor and skier, a wordsmith with a comedy flair and passion for good coffee.

A bit of a philosopher, a bit of a cognitive scientist. Interested in the problem of consciousness and mental content, more recently in the currents of broad cognition, cognitive artefacts and the philosophy of cognitive science. In his free time, he catches up on a lifetime of mathematics, logic and statistics. He is learning to program. It all goes with difficulty, but he’s trying. Associated with Swarmcheck since 2022.

Graduate in Cognitive Science at the Jagiellonian University. Rita is active in the Philosophical Team of Swarmcheck. She is interested in issues of linguistic relativism and cognitive errors.

Cognitive Science student at the Pedagogical University of Kraków. At Swarmcheck, he manages social media accounts, promotion and the search for funding opportunities on a national and European level. In his free time, Kamil is involved in photography, computer games, and research on the workings of the human mind.

Master in Sociology. Since 2022 he has been associated with Swarmcheck where he is mainly involved in research recruitment. Aleksander is deeply interested in the topic of happiness as well as as well as practical personal development. In his free time he enjoys reading books and playing board games with friends.

Graduate of Philosophy at Jagiellonian University. Coordinator of the project "In 7 Days around Science". He organizes and conducts workshops, argumentation mapping and consulting for the public sector. In his spare time, he travels and plays the piano

Graduate in Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University. She is currently bringing her deliberations down to earth and looking at what philosophy can do in practice. In Swarmcheck, she participates in activities aimed at building rational discourse online and in the real world, polishes the logic of argumentation in the Swarmcheck App and explores possibilities for the development of science-philosophical education. On a daily basis, she practises contemporary dance, conducts somatic workshops and educates herself in (psycho)therapy through the body. She occasionally poetises and paints.

Futurist and metascientist, Master in Philosophy and History. At Pedagogical University of Krakow, currently fInAlIsInG a PhD dissertation on gains in scientific knowledge quantification, posthuman ethics, and existential risks. At Swarmcheck, deals mainly with meta-argumentation. EduVRlab researcher at AGH University of Science and Technology, board member at Polish Transhumanist Association. In the academic year 2022–2023, activising communities of the aforementioned universities via Centre for Effective Altruism’s University Group Accelerator Program (Starter Program). Main purpose: contribution to development of epistemically-oriented superintelligence and longevity-focused civilisation. Slowly diminishes their Warhammer pile of potential.

PhD Candidate and Master in Cognitive Science, Bachelor in English studies. At Swarmcheck he is working as an argumentation specialist. After hours — a climate activist. Scarce amounts of free time he spends playing games, including those that do not require electricity.

Graduate in Philosophy at the University of Warsaw (UW) and PhD candidate at Doctoral School of Humanities at UW. Academically interested in metaphilosophy and cross-cultural comparative philosophy. At Swarmcheck he works on debunking fake news and conspiracy theories through argumentation mapping and analysis. He spends his free time practising the Japanese festival dance yosakoi.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Graphic designer and illustrator. Specialises in information graphics and data analysis and visualisation. Vividly interested in accessibility design. Basia is from Nowa Huta district in Cracow. In her free time, she immerses into dystopian literature and solves logic puzzles.

UI DESIGNER

Specialises in user interface design. A free spirit and self-taught. Her adventure with graphic design started with an interest in painting and going to a drawing course. The love for creativity merged with the need to create things that were beautiful but useful. This quickly led to an exploration of UI/UX design. In her free time Izabela paints, does yoga and attempts pole dance.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Marcin brings to reality a vision of a world where people, instead of having unproductive arguments on the internet, build solutions on a foundation of knowledge accumulated over generations.

Marcin cares about the future of artificial intelligence, democracy and being kind to people, animals and robots.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Jakub is responsible for the operational and management activities of the organisation. He gets along well with people which is perhaps why he founded the Zaczyn brewery.

Jakub is highly competent in law, economics and business development and moderately competent in growing ivy and banana trees.

SPECIALIST IN OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT

A “manager” by profession, he graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Management at the Catholic University of Lublin. Arkadiusz has been working at Swarmcheck since 2021, starting as an intern. Currently he is a specialist in the Operations Department where he deals with project budgets, financial analysis, employee contracts and all processes that affect the smooth running of the company. He is developing his skills in analysing data of all kinds, a good spirit of the organisation that always claims to "line out". Privately a self-taught Excel fanatic and planner of everything that can be planned.

Bachelor in Sociology graduated from the University of Rzeszów, specialising in Market and Public Opinion Research. Currently a Master's student of Sociology with a specialisation in Human Resources Management. Gabriela has been working at the Swarmcheck since September 2022, supporting the Operations Department in daily organisational tasks. She spends her free time on voluntary work in Poland but in an international environment. Her research interests include the development of artificial intelligence in interpersonal relations and intercultural dialogue as well as social research methodology.

ADMIMISTRATIVE SPECIALIST

At Swarmcheck, Katarzyna is responsible for overseeing the office, HR, and accounting records to ensure proper working conditions.

She has a passion for pole dancing and tailoring, and enjoys taking walks around the city and relaxing alone.
